Melissa and Darius has been together for five years. Melissa is a great listener, reliable, emotionall strong, open-minded, idealistic, and humorous. Darius share some of her same qualities except he is a pragmatic guy, hard worker, very good communication skills, and an affeciate guy. I believe that their qualities stengthens their relationship because they have some opposite characteristics such as Darius beening pragmatic and Melissa idealistic. This keeps balance in the relationship and also keep the relationship interesting.
People say that opposites attract but can only stay if they work at it which is why it's great that Melissa is a greater listner and Darius a great speaker. So this way niether one of them misunderstand or misinterpret each other. Poor/Lack of communication is the cause of most relationship disasters.
To be able to make your partner laugh is the start of a healthy relationship. Partners who can make each other laugh tend to be more capable at decreasing or de-escalating conflicits when they arise. In my opinion this is why their relationship is so strong.

Sonnet 292 by Petrarch
The eyes I spoke of once in words that burn,
the arms and hands and feet and lovely face
that took me from myself for such a space
of time and marked me out from other men;
the waving hair of unmixed gold that shone,
the smile that flashed with the angelic rays
that used to make this earth a paradise,
are now a little dust, all feeling gone;
and yet I live, grief and disdain to me,
left where the light I cherished never shows,
in fragile bark on the tempestuous sea.
Here let my loving song come to a close;
the vein of my accustomed art is dry,
and this, my lyre, turned at last to tears.
Summary
In this poem the speaker explains the lost of love. In the beginning he is reminiscing the old ways; like the color of his loves hair and her smile. He speaks of her past and character. After introducing her he goes on to mourning her loss. Finally at the end he just break down; this is where states he would never be the same without her (alive). Very dramatic.

Critic's Corner
I would have to agree with Mr.Quinet that everyday incidents can be poetic. Everything in our day could be potential poems because of our feeling towards them; whether it is eatting a plum, argueing with a friend, or just falling down on the ground.
If you have the creativity you could turn the simple process of going asleep and waking up into a poem. Life itself is poetic so I find it very difficult to not see that the everyday incidents of it to be the same. What makes something poetic is the strong metaphysical hold it has on your psyche, whether it's a good feeling, relaxing, or heart break.
I find the simple task of breathing very poetic because of the way my chest expand to such a vast proud mound when I gently inhale and slowly shimmer down to the petite statue that is myself. Every incident in life affects you emotionslly and physically they all tie in to make up who you are and how you react. What you is a reflection of you and that's why it is poetic.
